What Amp do i need?

    Hi ppl

    Just got a set of JL 12 inch W3's in a box......what amp should i use to power these babies?

    you will not be disappointed with an alpine v12 amp! i have had many amps and setups and the alpine is by far the best. get a 2 channel one as well! i was running 2 12" type s subs btw.

    as the w3 is a dual voice call sub what configuration is it. if i remember the w3 is rated at 350wrms and its dual 2 but not sure. if so look for a good 2 channel amp that does about 500wrms the jl will take that much power easy as long as u dont run the gains high causing it to distort.

    cheers guys yes they are the dual voice coil type....i am looking to spend around 150 on a amp.....this i dnt think will get me a really good amp...but i want the best for my money and the best to suit the JL subs. can you guys recodmmend what i should be looking at for this money?

    Try SOUNDSTREAM , KICKER , or PHOENIX GOLD all top amps

    Go for Kicker mate - they are the dogs back wheels, mine absolutly rocks - they have just come out with a new range of amps aswell which look wicked... Also check out this web siteCar Audio Security they seem to be even cheaper that Car Audio Direct

    Cheers guys.....i got a PM for a guy called Azim selling the amp below:

    Ive got a SOUNDSTREAM REF 500 for sale 150 ,2 channel
    in mono 2 ohm rated at 500w rms .
    Please ask others for there views on this amp.

    will this be powerful enough to power my two JL W3's?...i dnt think so.

    I found this amp on the car audio securtiy site mentioned above....i think this will do the jon ure opinions?

    If 500watt rms is not enough then you need to save some more pennys to buy a quality item . Dont go for the 1200 watts cheap make amps.
