Looking at ditching crappy NTL and moving broadband providers...

Ideally want 1Mb or above for minimum cost...

    Who is best?

    Crappy ntl??
I think it depends where you are in the country. I know people on BT BB that is so slow you wouldnt believe. I think the reason its so quick for me down here is because most of the local retards dont know what a computer is ! I been on the 600k service for 9 months now, and only had 1 hr when i couldnt connect in all that time.
Customer service, accounts and their TV is absolute pants though.

I have had broadband for 3years now and have never had any bother with it and have never had to phone NTL regarding it either.
Their phone service on the other hand is run by muppets.

I`m on NTL BB. No problems with the service and have never had to contact NTL once other than to order it.

I know people with BT BB who constantly have problems [:s]

No probs with NTL here either, if you were going to change though I`d look at Pipex or that new Wannado jobby ;)

    Pipex are the way ahead.

Customer service is exellent and i have had no probs with them.

Had download speeds of a steady 121k before aswell.

tat would be over the limit ina 2 days lol!

have blueyonder get a steady 117 KB/s from websites and thats with 4 people connected through a network so if i unplugged em all it would be even quicker

technical support was really helpful too

    AOL:

    56k 15
    256k 20
    512k 25
    1024k 30

You need at least 512 but maybe 1024 if your gonna be downloading dvd films over night ;)

Only problem like most are that once you subscribe to one your stuck with it for 12 months.

My mate subscribed too 256k i think a few months back for 30 & now you can get 1024k for the same money but he cannot change because of his contract [xx(] but thats like anything i suppose when contracts are involved.

EDIT: no prob's with aol from him so far.
