May sell up the Golf at some point in the next 6 months. Might fancy a change. Not sure if there is anything in my budget that would be as fun or as easy to maintain though.

If I sell up it wont be for a clio. My mums needs a wheel bearing replacing after 6,000 miles of her strictly 30mph town driving which imho is appauling.

    I was thinking

early mk4 1.8t (prob not got enough in the budget for that)
    audi A3
    Rado VR6 or G60

    oooo

Not sure if I will, just getting some ideas atm. Think the valver deserves more attention than I can give it.

    Prof - i was thinking of the A3 1.8t - I quite like them.

I reckon you'd struggle for a 1.8t sport. What year they start? Even an early 1.8t would be a struggle. More than a Mk4 GTI. 306 GTI-6? Alfa 147?

Hadn't thought about a 200sx. That would be fun! Loads about for 3.5k if your looking at 97's.

Something like this would be cool

    http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/246542.htm

It wont be until after x-mas that I start thinking about it, but just fancying a possible change and something a bit mor comfortable with mod cons for every day use.

Well a mate of mine has one set-up for drifting but the way it handles is unreal. It's pretty stripped and on coilies and on a roundabout I couldn't feel even a tinge of body roll. Pretty strange experience really, goes bloody well too.
