... the flying saucer thing on top of the cam cover Broke the grommet where it fits into the cam cover at the weekend, and then noticed that the mesh inside the cam cover is completely gunked up, so if it needs to breath through there it ain't doing a great job! Engine is running pretty well though as it is. That got me thinking that I didn't really understand what the PRV does. I guess that there needs to be airflow from the cam cover to the TB but what does the PRV actually do, compared to there just being a hose from the cam cover to the TB? Do I need to clean out the PRV, service it in any way, or even buy a new one given it's prob been there for 190k miles? Thanks
