The oil temp is the only thing on my MFA that doesn't work I dislike the dim green lighting on the clocks. Don't like that the door is just about wrong for where to rest your arm. Don't like the rear wiper, looks lots better without. Don't like how the bumpers are always misaligned. Shrinking window seals too Think that's it for now, there's others but I can't remember
I agree about using anoluge gauges and I use them too, the MFA is a back up to those gauges, I also love the outside temp reading but have mounted the sensor on a longer loom and ATM have it above the exhaust mani, makes for interesting viewing of the under bonnet temps
^ this is because yours are "happy white" ... this also happens with tornado "pleasant pink" (I was passenger in the how to ABF your mk2 red digifant car & people were waving at us like awww isn't it a nice old Golf) "angry black" gets them right out of the way (but no waving like with tornado pink [:^(] )
Unscrew the dash undertray, unscrew the blower and it twists out. I had to re-use the rheostat onto the new one, but that just clips off and on to the new one. It really is that simple. It's the blower box that's a real killer
Front seats are painful unless your you have snake hips! steering so heavy that sub 20mph parking is a chore!, owners seem to wear hats even in the summer!!
