ok so at this point i'd love to put up a pic to help with this question but its come off my car the other day when some foxy J walking occured! bloody animals! along with my horn and splitter but never mind

so the car, 96 mk3 GTI anni AGG 2.0L 8v

the part in question is situated drivers side front corner up above the horn behind the bumper. it has a yellow 2 pin connector and is the same size as a packet of polo mints just a little bit shorter in length. made of metal, i'm guessing copper due to the amount of green corosion around whats left of the terminals! i just want to know what it is so i can order a new one from somewhere and also if its anything that might affect me drinving the car until i source one? i've had a look on etka and cant find anything that looks like it on any diagrams.

    many thanks

    Bin it, TBH...

Surplus to reqiurements, really, and can cause more headaches than it`s worth.

yes thats the resistor for the dim dip headlights, just leave the yellow connector disconnected as it's not required

Basically it turns the dipped beam on dimly (can you tell where it got the name?) when you put the sidelights on. Waste of time
