What obd???

    What obd runs on the abf I've try my own diagnostics which is obd2 just wondering will odb1 work with my 96-99 seat Ibiza Cupra ABF? Thanks

    There are no "OBD2" requirements in our European ABF engine. However the diagnostic connector is standardised according to SAE J1962 and is similar to North American vehicles that do have OBD2 emission monitoring requirements.

    For ABF engine diagnostics and VDS you need the K line from the ECU on pin T68/43, to connector to pin 7 of a 16 pin Diagnostic Link like the one below.

    You also need an earth to pin 4 and battery power on pin 16.
    NB The K line is also daisy chained to vehicles fitted with an immobiliser.

    You can also use the older 2x2 diagnostic link with an adaptor for diagnostics.
