yep 288 unless its been changed, which is doubtful.

a common upgrade is to 312 from the ani/tt/s3 just requires new discs carriers same pads can be used (but new pads with discs are reccomended)

    Hi

I am also looking to replace Brake discs, on a Gold Mk4 1.8 GTI 20v (T reg)

but just changing the rear for now

Looking at options available on websites such as http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/jkmdisk-vw.htm

There does not seem to be any 288mm disc option for the rear, just for the front, am I correct in thinking that I should fit solid 232's?

I have looked a GSF also, but not really sure what I am looking at.

    Can anyone help?

I may also need to fit Calipers on the rear, does anyone have any recomendations?

    288 fronts only.

rears on your will be solid232 as suggested.

    why do you need calipers?

Not 100% sure I do, the mechanic said that the rear brakes are seizing, and apart from the corroded discs he suspects corrosion on the caliper?

Don't know how liekly this is, or how common it is

both them would do but i would just get plain disks on the rear and save the cash for the fronts
unless you have cash to burn

nah, quite limited at the moment, so will go with the ones on the jkm link I done above a few posts ago I reckon. But they still have some grooves. Have you got any suggested brannds, sites or links for a plain one?

Better off calling your local GSF or Euro Car parts and finding out how much they are there, and how much recon rears calipers are. No point ordering std discs over the internet IMO, postage will kill it.
