Can anyone tell me what size dash speakers(the ones on top of the dash) i need to buy for my mk3 golf gti. popped off the covers,speaker wires are there,but no speakers. was gonna buy some off e-bay,but unsure of the size.
I'm not sure about the mk3 but don't they have space for 6.5" upfront in the doors? If so then it would be best to buy a component set and install the tweets into the tops of the dash. You can use a metal bracket very similar to ones that come with HU's (thin narrow metal strip). Screw one end to one of the holes in the dash position and the other end into the back of the tweeter and then angle it towards the opposite side of the car. Then screw the oem cover back on and it will all look standard but sound a million times better.
