I wanna fit some speakers in my mk1 doors, and rear shelf supports, but I dont know which ones to go for, im not after awesome sound, but something of a decent quality would be nice, I will be fitting my 12" sub and amp so bass is not a problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

what size are the speakers that you want?

need to be carefull putting subs and speakers in the same close air space as a sub can destroy the speakers, (as your boot is pretty much sealed, your sub will be trying to move any thing it can as it displaces the air, and if your speakers are the only thing that will move freely you could destroy them,)

whats your budget, what will they be running off? are you making door builds?

they will just be 6x4 in the doors and parcel shelf supports, they will be running off the head unit, no amp, no door builds just the standard mk1 door pods.

how can i fit speakers in my shelf supports and fit a sub, without them being destroied?

i'd just get front components i reckon you should bve able to squeeze 5.25" components in the front alpine type S run very happily of a headunit for around 50 bargain leave the rears empty it'll sound much cleaner ;)
