What to get

    Fair point on both counts. My biggest gripe with the d60 is size i suppose. Sounds weird but it's a small camera I guess i want something that feels a little more robust.

    As NB pointed out in a earlier post there is much more technology in some of the older cameras that as an aspiring photographer would prove beneficial.

    Part of my budget is going towards new glass as well. I already have the 50mm the 18-55mm and a Sigma 10-20. Next on the list is an 85mm and a 105mm I think mostly fixed focal length lenses have been the most enjoyable to use.

    canon 85mm 1.8 is supposed to very good.... unless you can afford the 85L

    I'm using Nikon the two aren't interchangeable as far as I know.
