going for an ABF for mk1 conversion and should be picking it up at weekend. Its done 140k but runs perfect ,,,,,just interested in what people would change before putting it in the car ?
a few leaking gaskets, ones that are proper gay to get to you keeping the crank sensor? change that, or at lease the rubber seal just oil leaks really. they dont die
crank & ecu temp sensors definitly swap, ecu temp sensor is the 2 pin white, cheap from VAG. crank sensor can get from GSF. apart from that vac pipes, and check the hose to the PCV this is often all soft and split.
