I like red cars, especially mk2's, but only when they're in my neighbors driveway. Same story with Montana Green, I love it, but wouldn't want to own one. I guess I don't like the bright "look at me" colors and the attention that they get. I prefer more subtle colors. For a mk2 -White -Royal blue or bright blue metallic -Silver or dark gray -Oak green For newer cars -black (PITA to keep looking good) -white -blue
It's not a conspiracy, it's just a basic flaw in human psychology. The main type of person who is going to respond to this thread would be the cardigan wearing, quiche eating, flower arranging mothers boy that needs to show off and what better medium than an attention grabbing bright colour like red. Blue is the colour of the mind and is essentially soothing; it affects us mentally, rather than the physical reaction we have to red. Strong blues will stimulate clear thought and lighter, soft blues will calm the mind and aid concentration. Consequently it is serene and mentally calming. It is the colour of clear communication. Time and again in research, blue is the world's favourite colour. We're here replying to this thread because we're the normal ones, trying to add some balance to the world. And we're cooler.
The red lot gave us these beauties as posted by Red Ed on FB. Stunning! However the clam crew from the "blue is beautiful front", hit back with these articles of pure blue bliss! Come on Ed...Just look at it!
The best looking car in the world, in the best colour. Powered by the best engine. And 35 years ago it was mine.

Now I know why red is leading the points score. Everyone wanted to vote for Tropical Orange and thought all they could choose was red. Well, every sane person who voted red by mistake.
