Quickest big(ish) job was a gearbox in just under an hour - it was snowing and car was parked on the kerb outside - i wasn't hanging around to get cold!
changed mi self adjusting clutch cable for a manual one on mi mk2 golfyesterday in an hour - with me dad there to pass stuff to me.
Totally remodelled the bodywork including the roof in less than a second. Only tool I used was a tarmac road.
Our Transit tech at work Matt can replace a clutch on a RWD transit in 30 mins, no sh*t !! Leads me on nicely to the video I found on You tube recently... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLLvB_RHqfg Prodrive WRC gearbox change on WRC car 5:40....
i think one of my probs at the minute is that the car is not high enough off the ground. i couldnt start till one cos it was raining and then it was dark by 4 the change on that wrc car is amazing, though
After I wrote off my Campaign I had to strip all the parts off it I wanted (as I'm re-shelling it). Removed the engine, gearbox, exhaust, front wishbones, front brakes, front hubs, front wishbones, top mounts, front suspension, rear beam, rear brakes, handbrake cables, rear suspension and driveshafts in less than 1 hour! Was a case of jacking the (remains of the) body shell up in the air, un-doing about 10 bolts and dropping everything onto the floor.
