whats the secret to fitting 16v cams

    If you undo the inlet cam you can see which stud gets in the way preventing you from just turning it.

    align the exhaust cam on your dot on rocker cover split line and then rotate the inlet to suit, clamp down (carefully & evenly) and see where it ends up. If out one way or other, undo it and simply rotate it x teeth whichever way it was wrong and then reinstall.
    (not forgetting to reinsert the stud)

    I did mine this way.... but was a 'tard and somehow managed to make them jump:lol: ****ing amateurs eh?

    I had a problem tonight with trying to get the dots to line up, followed the info above, the car is now running great. No more chain rattle [:D]

    finally got them done so the head disect the dots/circles in half. I moved the exhaust cam down a tooth and it was bang on

    thanks for all your help everyone :)

    its still noisy thou :(

    silly question are there any differences in head when fitting cams i got a 051 head and it seems harder to fit some cams because it has a extra bit of casting near the cam belt pulley
