whats your mileage??

    ive just bought a W-reg golf 2.0 gti with 101k on the clock, now its been serviced regular but im still a tiny bit concerned about the mileage. just wondering what miles every one elses car had covered???

    mine has 100,000 miles exactly!!!! its a P reg and is probably just run in......

    200k,106k and 117k currently. Id be more concerned about having a 2.0 'gti' tbh

    mine is on 181k.

    Mk1 Campaign - 197,000 miles (albeit 16v engine conversion)

    89 Mk2 Digi - 167,000 miles

    no meant concerned it was high!!!! it has got full history and 1 previous lady owner i was just worried it might be near the end of its life[:^(]

    yeah, women drivers are ****. it does not seem that mine has ever been owned by a woman before, which makes me happy.

    where did you get the idea that 100k miles was the end of its life? is it falling to bits? i thought you said it was in nice condition

    starting to realise its just been run in at this mileage!! it was just that my bora had only done 64k and ive never had a car with this many miles before

    these are golfs, they dont die

    my previous lil mk2 was on 196k miles. you got lots of miles left. just look after it

    The clutch is probably fecked if a birds done 100k in it:lol:

    not concerned now i was curious though as to what mileage other peoples cars had covered in perspective to mine!! oh and its had a clutch (done at main dealers) along with cam belt at 80k,

    i did own a audi A4 tdi that had covered 250k with full history and was just wondering if the petrol engines were as reliable. Anyway concerns over :p

    ok so i was concerned about the mileage and rushed into this post, but now realising what other cars have done and thinking about it all im happy :lol:

    bought my 87 golf 16v four years ago when it had 124k on the clock,now up to 220k and running like clockwork...
    how its been treated/serviced during its life seems much more relavent than the numbers on the milometer when it comes to how long a cars gonna last.
