went to find out about gettin my lil bbs's refurbed

they quoted 120 for all wheels to be sorted

now apparently there is a different finish on the rim than there is on the spokey bit............didnt notice that lol

so they can refurb my wheels to the spoke colour but cant refurb them to original finish.

So..............should i just get them refurbed and live with it? should i get the rim polished once refurbed? or shall i buy new wheels? any other ideas?

    HELP!!

You know my 2p! I say basecoat the centres with silver, then mix up the bodycolour with some laquer and spray the centres so the wheels are dark, but not entirely black if you see what i mean. Then polish the outer

Or to make it look really evil - Powdercoat/Paint the centres black and then get the rims polished. :)

hi, i'm in the same situation as you, have some bbs alloys that need sorting but having trouble finding a place that can do them

i've been quoted 25 a wheel for aqua blasting them back to bare alloy, then a further 25 a wheel to refrub to the original finish with a further 5 a wheel to polish the outer rim.

im gettin them refurbed for now.....if i dont find anythin else i wana spend money on lol

jimmy i was quoted 30 per wheel to get sorted.........but they cant do the finish on the rim of mine..........and cos theyre all damaged ive no idea what the finish is supposed to be!!

i think im going along with steve - a slightly darker centre and polished outer! but not really dark kinda shadow chrome if i can get it sorted!

standard finish is painted spokes and polished lip....and the lips always go manky.

if it was me i'd just paint the whole lot in the same silver as the spokes were originally...so the finish will last longer (have a feeling its kerbing that makes the lips go manky)
