My MK2 driver with a bored (2.00 L TSR) EZ engine and has developed an odd noise. A sort wheezing whine which intermttant but getting worse. I can't pinpoint where the noise comes from when the bonnet is up. Thought it was the alternator or belt squeal but seems to come from the rear of the engine. Another thought was a leak in the induction/vaccum pipes but they seem OK. A friend has suggested a blocked crankcase breather?? Any thought would be welcome. Also how do you clean a crankcase breather ??
