This page has some part numbers for ford arp hardware that can be used... Don't know if they are cheaper though.

Just searched and you can get the Ford 302 (pn ARP 154-6002 set of 16) for $57.95 yet the vw ones (pn ARP 104-6004 set of 8) for $117.88

    Go figure...

Not sure if this is them, but the ARP part number is close - I'd be surprised if the VW part was 5/16" thread though

Well he's basically getting his eight for free - but whoever buys them will save 70 over buying the vw ones... So yes & no...

Depends if he got hit for duty, what the exchange rate was, and what he paid for delivery.

At the end of the day, the fair price is whatever someone is willing to pay.

Sorry about the thread revival, but can anyone recommend a supplier for 16v ARP headbolts and a good head gasket?

I always use the GSF metal laminate gaskets for 20, work great and haven't had one fail. As for headbolts, I've seen better prices in the states. IPG will even put a cheaper price on the box for customs to see if you want to go down that route.

I'm happy to buy head gaskets from GSF / Euro / other motor factors. Elring, Reinz or Coopers Payen would be fine in terms of brands.

Try TSR for ARP stuff? I think I've read that they're cheap for diff bolt kits.

I got my diff bolts from TSR, head bolts I think we're direct from USA? The prices seem to not differ from one UK supplier to the next, but TSR might do a discount for club members? Worth an ask.
