where is.....

    the paint code for my car? is it written somewhere on the car? I hope so.......if not can anyone tell me what colour this might be? its a standard VW colour

    i need to get some paint to spray a grille i just bought

    If you've got the service schedule book its printed on the inside
    front cover.

    Lift your boot carpet and you should find a paper sticker stuck to the boot floor with info such as VIN number and paint code ;)

    it had the following on it....

    "Paint shop

    release: 2500"

    and stamped across the background was "SAMBOKWE"

    does any of that mean anything?

    Don't think you are looking at the right sticker. The sticker you need is located in the boot close to the boot catch - It's a white paper sticker. It should be visible without removing carpet etc. It will Have Paint Code, Engine Code Chassis Number etc..

    Edit: na deffinatly no white sticker. It must have been taken off at some point. Ah well.....i'll look in the service book tonight.
