"The band are in the studio working on new material now but no release dates are scheduled as yet."

But that's been up on their website for ages now.

I liked the NYC album. But Dummy has 'all time classic' written all over it.

"Gibbons and Webb will perform live in the USA during October and in Brazil on the 30th October, joined by members of both bands - Portishead guitarist Adrian Utley, Talk Talk's drummer Lee Harris and bassist Simon Edwards - along with keyboardist Jason Hazeley Smith of Ben & Jason and violinist Clare Mactaggart."

I guess that explains some of it then.

I managed to get the 'to kill a deadman' video not so long ago, it's not all that but the track is a real corker!

    I love Portishead!
I've got an old Essential Mix on tape somewhere by them, well, by Andy Smith anyway. Superb stuff, I've seen sections of it floating round on soulseek and Kazaalite... 'The Document' is a mix CD by him that is essentially a reworked, shortened version of that mix. Superb.

Beth Gibbons has got a hell of a voice, really haunting and I love the overall 'dark', 60s sound...

yeah pretty dark, do like it though!
I just found 'A tributre to Monk and Canatella' forgot I had it.

(On Wandering Star replace word 'forever' with 'the shotgun' much funnier.... )
