where to find engine code.

    Hi there.
    I have fitted a 2lt bottom end to my mk2 8v turbo. My question is how would i know what the engine code is on my 2lt bottom end? I have looked round the engine but cant see a code that i reconise.
    I want to run some proper boost so want to know if i have the best bottom end for the job.
