You have a few other options. You can either go for the Clifford Concept 650 that comes standard with a prox sensor (warnaway) so it gives you internal & external protection. The system also comes with Blackjax (anti-hijack).

Or you can go for the Viper (clifford's older brother) 480XV that comes with a LCD 2way pager system. System will page you if the alarm is triggered and also has loads of extra channels to add extras. Both these systems are cat 1 and come with life time warranty.

Both systems are very popular with all our customers. Visit our website for latest offers.

I had motorguard fit my Viper 480XV and can without reservation say it was the best value, best aftermarket accessory i have bought for the car.

    Without doubt.

Oh, and reference the above eBay auction, its not Cat1 really if you dont have it fitted by an approved supplier and can then supply your insurer with said certificate.

dodgy but to be honest someone with a bit of knowledge could fit it better than a lot of approved installers that i've seen!

I'd keep well away from cliffords from my experience!

Go for the toad. Steer away from Clifford or risk random beeps, random unlockings, random sirening! I had the 650 fitted in my Punto and although the proximity sensor was ace I found the alarm to be bollox. It unlocked itself and did all sorts of random stuff, as does my mates on his raddo G60. I would go Toad.

I have had it for 3 years and it has broken down at least 10-15 times and even now the c/l doen't lock once strarted.
    Complete crap.
But if u wanna buy a clifford alarm then u can buy mine:lol: ;)

have you also fitted the protective cover plate behind the grill to stop the "pop the badge pop the bonnet" weakness of the mk1?

Just take your grill of tim and close the bonnet, you can easily open it from the outside.

Basically weld in a plate to stop people doing this
