    Hi All,

Looking on GSF's website for locking wheel nuts for the Lupo 16v which has the standard 4-bolt alloys on. They list two types, anyone know which I need, if either will do that is?

99970 LOCKING WHEEL BOLT SET General Use. ALL VW 12mm- NOT FOR OE WHEELS 12.50

99971 LOCKING WHEEL BOLT SET General Use. ALL VAG 14mm-NOT FOR OE WHEELS*** 12.50

What does the 12 and 14mm refer to? I thought they were all the same size?

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

    Stu

12mm and 14mm is the thread size Stu, some 5 stud cars such as VR6s have 14mm threaded wheel bolts.

As for locking nuts/bolts, get some McGard, they're the best.

If your car has spherical seat bolts, make sure you get the same with the locking nuts, the GSF site states not for OE wheels so I presume they're selling conical seat bolts rather than spherical.

Cheers Gary, that makes sense. My brother in law took one of the Lupo wheel bolts along to GSF as he was going anyway and the bloke there confirmed their sets were no good as they are too long apparently.

I will look up the McGard ones you suggest instead. :)
