I've got a Race in mine and its spot on, no complaints what so ever and the driving position is improved as the wheel is a bit closer to you. I like any of the above though, the team is very nice too.

3 but I'm biased having broken my nose on the steering wheel in a crash once... [:x]

Well, finally got it yesterday [:D]

In true "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" fashion I asked the forum, but then ignored your suggestions ;)

Momo Competition may not have been the favourite choice, but I preferred it to the Race in the end. Have to say I'm *really* pleased with it! Makes it feel like a new car, and it's even better than the wheel in my last car (A3 1.8T) which was my previous favourite!

Think it really suits the car (it's black - looks grey in the pics cos the sun was shining so much in between torrential downpours!):

Goes nicely with the Fischer C-Box CD holder, too [:$] Just got to fit the leccy windows now, and it'll be time for a bling break...

    Thanks everyone who voted [:D]

    Cheers folks!

Yeah, I really like the look of Millenium on the MkIII - not so keen in a MkII though (unless it was all chromed-up I spose!).

Yours looks really cool GVK - definitely a good match for the Mk2 interior.

Mine's never going to be a show car, and I'm not one of these OEM-mad nutters ;) but I did want to try and keep it looking "semi-factory". Still not sure whether to ditch the original golf ball gearknob (which has a crack in it) and get a Momo Race Airleather to match the wheel...

Can't quite see top of dials, but enough to tell what's going on

I only just fit in my Golf as it is (bit on the tall side!), but the position with the new wheel is great. Bit more of a reach to the stalks, but I actually prefer it (big hands, too [:$])...

Nasty old high-mileage plastic wheel didn't seem to feel so bad when it was on there, but the new one has transformed it beyond all recognition  Definitely no going back!

yeah, standard wheels are awful...although to be fair the early vr6 one isn't bad, its mega ugly but is quite small with a fat rim.

good thing about mkIII's is the height adjustable steering column...so i can still see my display [:D] . wonder if you could fit the mechanism onto a mkII?!

I got the Champion steering wheel with my Golf, same as Recardo's one. Changed the gear knob for the Race Air Leather as well so it all goes nicely together. Looks brill but my one complaint is the momo logo is only stuck on so occasionally it'll come off on my hand if I'm driving long distances. Had to adapt to holding the edges of the knob and not the top (ooo errr)
