   my mk2 golf gti 16v is kicking alot of white smoke out of exhaust pipe wen i first start her up, a friend thinks it just damp causing it 7 nothing too worry about? should i be concerned/

   if it stops soon after firing up dont worry about it. one of the byproducts of combustion is water so you will get a bit of moisture in the exhaust system. any moisture will be more obvious on a cold morning too.
   
   if the smoke is blue it could be oil leakage into the bores from worn stem seals though
