I need some ideas and suppliers, Im looking for some white alloys for the mk1 track car, if I can save a bit of wieght even better, so where am I best off looking? im not looking to spend shed loads though as im a bit skint and the money is being raised by selling off the turbo wheels.

the wheels dont need to be suppled with tyres either which makes it easier,

    cheers

    Karl.

Kinda 50/50 I dont want something that look super cool but weights a ton! but at the same time they cant be pig ugly.

another factor is the cost as well as Ill only have about 400 max to play with, and I could do with getting tyres for that price too, but at the same time my tyre guy seems to be able to get part worns that look new and are cheap so I may go that way as they will only be munched on track, so long as they match and arent ditch finders I will be fine - I look at this way some ones scrubbed them in for me. (waits for the bashing....)

or a set of second hand speedlines from a raddo. light ish but OEM cool looking

    How light are ATS Cups?
The reason I ask is that Mercedes do a very similar wheel, and according to the track bods it's by far the lightest MB wheel ever.
A set of Cups blasted & powdercoated white could rock, no?

ATS cups & in fact all ATS wheels are v light. I'd go this route 2nd hand & powder-coat.

There were some ATS motorsport rims on ebay recently.

ATS DTCs.... about 250 without tyres... only weigh 5kgs a wheel!

they're not white but nothing a lick of paint couldn't cure!

Wheels? or tyres?, wheels came off Ebay a couple of years ago for 80(with tyres great huge 205/60 x15) Avon ACB's came from a mate who still works for Avon Racing, there the same tyre as used in one of the Caterham series :)

ive seen the cookie ones, but they still need adaptors too to fit them.

on the ats, seen them was very tempted but unsure if they will clear my brakes. i may need to send a few emails.
