    Hello,

After porting my 8v head i wanted to know how to port my 16v head.

Now im wanne know what i can do. I read the thread of mr hillclimber how to port the 8v and he give some basic dimentions to use like 83 % of the valve diameter is in the inlet port diameter and under the valve seat is 95% of the valve.

What i want to know is what should i do follow these dimensions or are there diffrend to use?

What head shall i pick i got a pl and a kr head with the same numbers in it, or go after a abf head.

I wanted to pm mr hillclimber but his inbox is full:lol:

    Who can help me?

I would start with an ABF (051 D) casting rather than an early KR (027) or late KR (051) castings. They flow more air straight out of the box so to speak, and the port and CC shape is also superior. I am sure Mr H will also concur with this and be able to give you some quality insight into what you need to do.

Sounds like good advice but arn't we missing something, would it not be better to just use the 8v crossflow? he could just miss out one of the evolution steps to save time? no porting needed!

8v to 16v to 8v crossflow FTW.:lol: (In house Joke ignore!)

BUMP - any more info on this - apart from the obvious 8v/crossflow suggestions?

    oop's! I missed this!

    Blimmey... waiting for me! lol!.... I'm humbled...[:$]

There is a 16v porting guide coming for simple road mods with port size's. I'm not sure how I'm gunna do it yet as there's a few changes/options on the horizon... maybe a printed guide?... so you can all get it grubby on the bench, or wet in the bath!
