Guys. Those of you who have widetracked your mk2s, running standard gti wings and big bumper arches, any issues with clearance? It's on the winter job list for my mk2, I'd love to run G60 arches but they are silly money. I plan on using the current 15 in BBS RAs, or possibly going to a G60 steel widened by an inch.
My car isn't particularly stiff, but neither is it low (-25 or 30 from stock) due to the poor road surfaces I travel.

If you're using 280+ brakes then you'll need a few mm spacer to run RA's.

But I run 15x6.5 5 stud steels on mine, under 288's without spacers and it's -35 on eibach springs. Absolutely no clearance issues. I've only ever had caliper issues with wheels as I didn't understand offset at the time.

I'm already running 280s on RAs, without spacers. Using 16v calipers on 280 discs, and thinner pads on the inside. I don't like spacers.

Thanks Sam, that sounds perfect. How much clearance have you?

Ah okay, yeah they don't fit with the G60's.

Tyre to arch clearance? Quite a bit on 195/50's. Let me find a picture :)

Ignore the mud but it shows the gap quite nicely [:D]
