NO you need 16" mate, they run close on my Volk Race rims and they are build for brake caliper clearance
See pics on my topic in Sig

I run 308mm discs under 15's using the same spec wheel, offset etc and they are fine. Close but with no issues.

My 7" (or is it 6.5) 15" 1.2's touched the brembo calipers on the face with standard ET35 offset. It's also very close around the sides so went for the upgrade to 16"

Ah, I think that although Dunc runs slightly bigger discs than the 305mm Brembos, his Caparo calipers are a more sleek, disc-hugging design than the chunky Brembos and fit Ok. He'll probably confirm that in a bit. I have a pic somewhere.

Personally, with the ProRace's I would just try the wheels over the calipers if you can, unless you know someone has tried it before. I'm tempted to say that the same spec of wheel is no guarantee of clearance, it depends on the design of the wheel surely?

I'm running ET20 MO5's 15" over the chunky Brembo 305's as I saw that someone had done it with that exact set-up. I'm using Badger Bill's Mk2 brackets. They're close, maybe too close for some, but I don't have any problems.

    HTH.

Yep, that's certainly close! Heat not an issue? My MO5's with 310mm set-up get super toasty even with a 16" rim.

Balance weights could be a problem unless they fit between the spokes ...bit ugly for a road car but fine for track use :)

Theres a thread somewhere on here and on Seatcupra.net iirc with a list of the wheels that will fit with those brakes.

See to be honest I ran proper G60 callipers on my 1.8t from my old edition one with DS2500 pads and Volkswagen discs
Then DS3000 pads and never a problem with fade and brakes were great .... Refurbed them incase I need to change.
Bought the brembos just for the look [8D]

No, 'cos I brake like a girl lol

Maybe in the future as I get back on the wagon with my track driving, heat may become an issue. I don't run any ducting for cool air or heat venting at the mo.

Agree that G60 set up is great, or have a look at NigeP's 288mm(?) set up - more efficient with significantly greater pad area. Put aside a day though, as you'll end up reading the whole thread ;)lol

No space for even skinny weights, but if they're mounted inboard so they face the unions, as below, they're fine. I mark the wheels with paint pen, explain to the fitters, and all is fine

Very nice! Is it still a 305mm disc?

308mm according to Dunc. I thought they were more of a slimmer, Brembo GT or AP type caliper, but they appear chunkier and more Cupra Brembo-ish. Nice kit, and certainly work well!
