Wiring Amp to 12v socket in boot.

    Is it possible to wire an amp to the 12v socket in the boot of a golf ?

    i wouldnt, you need a much larger cable to power an amp, i dont thing that tin wiring would cope!

    No.... the current that it draws through the cable of an amp is massive. u'd mre likely set the car on fire and melt the wiring.... It just would not cope.

    LOL! I was about to ask exactly the same question - remembering back to the days of my old (cough) clio ... spent a full day getting that fat wiring down the middle of the car.....

    not looking forward to doing it again in the golf... [:s] !!
