just got a big old panasonic amp off e-bay,and whilst the loudspeaker conn. etc are obvious, the main power ones have got me stumped. the amps that im used to just have a +ve,a ground, and a conn.for the trigger wire from the h.u. this thing has a +ve,a ground as usual, and also one marked "cont" and one marked"acc". the only way i can coax any life out of it is to connect the +ve and ground as usual, the h.u. trigger-wire to "acc" term.,and then connect the final term.("cont") across to the +ve term. is this correct?,and if so,why didnt they just combine the "cont" and the+ve terminals to begin with?
You would necessarily have to use all the connections. Various ones would be provided for different applications. I`d read `cont.` as `control`, and `acc` as `accesories`. So, you could try wiring the trigger wire to `cont` and leave `acc` alone.
ok will try that, have been looking all over the internet for clues but the sites ive seen all assume there are just the +ve,earth and trigger-wires terminals to connect-up,so it seems as if this amp is an odd-ball. thanks anyway.
