Wrong calipers on the rally car

    Bought a set of yellow stuff pads for the golf last year.

    Thinking the car was mostly 16v I've just found out that the pads are different.

    Here's the old and the new. If somebody could confirm what they are I would be grateful

    Aye they gave you the wrong ones
    You get two types
    The ones they gave you are for 8v gti or 16v's up to 88/89

    Your old ones look like later 256 mm 16v brakes or even 280mm g60 brakes ever way they should have a 54 cast on the front of the caliper

    Demmon tweeks sent some carbon Lorraines for ealy 16v 239 brakes when description said 1990 gti pads [:s]

    Craig you got 256 mm discs or 280mm g60's ?? There the same pad just thicker for g60 [:s]

    When ordering just check stuffs for. 88> 256 mm plenty out there :thumbup:

    1990 gti =8v and all 8v's have 239 front brakes ;)
