Does have an impressive spec but im not convinced it can knock sony off the top spot, its always that extra factor beyond the pure power that determines it. There were faster/better consoles around when the original PSX was launched but through good advertising and having the desirability factor is won the market over
Good there putting the hard drive in, my mate said they were leaving it out, which would be stupid as the harddrive is opn of my favourite features, custom soundtracks an that
They seem to have skimped on the RAM, why is this? Should have at least 1GB imo... Design-wise it's leaps and bounds above the original XBOX...the 360 is going to look so much nicer underneath a modern silver flat screen. As for the competition...I think XBOX will do much better against Sony this time round...although not sure they will actually beat them because of Sony's excellent marketing strategies and existing blind fanboys. The bottom line is It'll be far more fashionable to own a PS3 than an XBOX360, regardless of which is the technically more superior console. Personally, I'd just choose whichever one was the most powerful.
I dont know why people dont like the controllers for the xbox - I find they fit better in my hands than the ps2 one. I will definately be getting one when its out, it will be interesting to see what the PS3 is like. Also here is a link for a video about the xbox 360 linky Oh and the CPU is water cooled
specs mean poo if you don't have the games for it gta and gt are the only reason why sony are winning this battle........
Well the PS3's specs will be announced at E3 in a couple of days time. PS3 Offical Site I think Microsoft will come out all guns blazing to knock Sony down a peg or two. They gave out the XBox 360 developers kit some time ago, so that game developers knew what to work to for their next games. Where as Sony have yet to release theirs . You'll find that both will sell very well for the 20-somthings and up, and Nintendo's new console will pick up the younger end of the market. Cheers, Jamie
errr wrong tbh, xbox has loads of great games. GTA is sh*t on the ps2 anyway, try playing it on a decent PC
Dreamcast comes to mind......cracking machine as anyone who owned one will agree but just didnt get the backing. Still got mine somewhere & may dig it out to have another blast.
Here are the first offical pictures of the Sony Playstation 3 I'll post up the specs as soon as they are released. Enjoy Cheers, Jamie
