What updates and stuff are you looking for??

 

i believe my xbox is running a low number firmware revision 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 or something....just wondered if a better one was out there or if the new version made any difference to the machine?.....some of the games are ok but some of the new ones seem to stutter during game play and i was wondering if this was due to old firmware or an old Operating System revision.....

 

Are you playing original games off the DVD or ripped games on your HDD?
I dont think updating the bios will make much diferance.
i have 2 xboxs one is a 1.0 and the other is a 1.6 crystal both work exactly the same no differance in the speed or anything.

 

I run a 1.0 with Xecuter 3 and I`ve not had a single skip yet, well impressed

 

Thats not the firmare number its the mobo version I mod a lot of xboxs and TBH theres not a lot of differnce between 1.0 - 1.5 and the 1.6s have a couple of differnt things but nothing that would make the games stutter.

Are these original games you are playing or umm backups
and what type of DVD drive do you have in it (thompson, phillips or samsung) as that does make a difference
