Um for some reason when i go into one of my vw directory's on my HD & have it in thumbnails mode when i right click on a pic & select preview it doesn't load up windows picture & fax viewer for me to zoom into it, anyone know why?
Do you have auto updates on? I dont know a lot about it, but I read recently that there has been an exploit in wmf (old image format) files recently that can cause a nasty virus to download and install itself if you even preview one of them. So MS's answer to it was disable the DLL that handles them, which also has the side effect of disabling image preview! see here under suggested actions! Edited by: Jeff
Jeff thanks mate that worked To undo this change, re-register Shimgvw.dll by following the above steps. Replace the text in Step 1 with regsvr32 %windir%\system32\shimgvw.dll (without the quotation marks).
