    Sad news fella,

Dunno if this is a good idea or not, but you could do some research into bone grafts; understanding often helps to relieve fear IMHO. I'd sure be afraid too. Hope it sorts itself out without the need.

I was off for a fortnight with labyrinthitis and was nearly banging my head off the wall with boredom......... 6 weeks and I'd be found dead surrounded by whiskey bottles! Bone grafts would take a long time to heal as well, I presume......[xx(]
Time to start thinking up an internet-based business!

I know how you feel Collie, now been off my work for about 4 months, although not with anything as drastic as yourself, if it wasn't for this hunk of metal and plastic I sit on every day, I would go mad, I hate Mondays for some reason, it gets you down a bit, hopefully getting back this month, or I need to get back as like you finances are taking a hammering, still got to go and see the specialist to sign me back.

Just make sure when you get the comp through it's more than enough to cover everything.

After my car accident i was off work for nearly 2 years- I had bone grafts done as part of the healing process- i'm ok now (but i'll never be as i was) but it has been about 5 1/2 years since the accident.
They won't do the grafts unless they have too- they are uncomfortable (but not knowing what you have already been thru) and i'm sure they won't be any worse than the surgery you will already of had.

Chin up you'l get there :) Just make sure you have lots of contact with ur mates and family- they'll help you thru it...

My prang wasn't too bad in all, it was my bikes foot brake lever piercing my boot and then my foot that did the damage. The pic tells all really, approx speed was 30mph for both vehicles so impact speed was approx 60mph and my poor foot took the full force as the car collided with my bike, and squashed it.

From what the police tell me , he says he didnt see me but the car behind me and put his foot down to nip in front of him, and thus accelerated into me, Nice work mr furnley.
