135 mph in a Jag S-Type. Overtook a fully marked up Volvo traffic car in the process.

Then again, I was on the high-speed bowl at Millbrook.

although with the 7300rpm redline i can only hit a calculated 158mph with my gearbox. (roll on solid lifters and a big turbo.. hmmm what next).

    152 mph = 67.95008 m / s

...in my vr6...on a test track obviously! speedo's probably not that accurate at those speeds tho.

had well off the clock in my old 8v GTI (120+)

And as a passenger in a type R 4 up, we went off the end of the clock, so thats an indicated 165mph.

    That was fun!

Not so much a peak speed, as a cruising velocity on the autobahn [8D] Matches 100% to the GPS speed on the satnav due to my silly wheels.

Saw just over 150 on the A47 (i think) in my old 911. Slowed down a bit
after a gust of crosswind made me change lanes involuntarily. - Lesson:
Always keep 1/2 a tank or more of fuel up front in an old 911, or the
front gets a bit light at speed. [:s]

Just over an indicated 135mph in my old G40, not very stable at those speeds, was hanging onto my tiny momo wheel pretty tightly

yup! At around as fast as a mk2 8v would go when new. A brand new RE71
let go and made 3 fully grown men crap thier corduroys like little
    babies.

I have no idea how fast my little mk1 driver goes. I reckon about 125 ish when aerodynamics call a halt.
