Your Most Annoying Car Noise?

exhaust making all hell of noises after it's come of it's hangar, fixed it back on, tie wrapped for extra protection, but a speed bump the next day whipped it off again!

 

Rattles as in CD cases etc, not rattles as in the car is falling apart! Not yet, I hope!

 

Dash board rattle, seat squeeks when going over slight bumps,

 

Old fave, as stated many times loose exhaust heat shields..

Picture this, nice clean car, lowered, lovely burbling exhaust, you give it a rev and... Rattle rattle rattle!!!! Sounds like you drive an old shed!!!!

Gotta get it reseated again...

 

Ive got a better one! the sound of my starter motor bouncing off the road onto my floor panel 2 or 3 times at 130mph !!!

The most annoying noise is that it's too damn quiet!!!!!!.................even at stupid speeds.

Oh and a nearside balljoint is knocking like Joan Collins at the moment.

 

Mine is in my ibiza as the passenger speaker up on the dash creaks.

 

The sound of Con rods exiting the cylinder block is rather irritating.

 

missus in the passenger seat! i drive like a god so theres no need for the screaming!

 

tools left in the scuttle panel after working on the car.. thankfully the MOT tester handed it to me after my last MOt.. cured the weird knocking noise that i couldnt figure out!!! lol

The intermittent squeak coming from somewhere on my polo. Not particularly into getting ti looked at until something falls off tho tbh

CD changer under the hump in the back seat of the rado rattling keep meaning to pad it out, then forgetting!

 

Where to start?

Timing belt cover rubbing. Sounded like chitty chitty bang bang for about 6 months.
Rear calipers sticking when reversing.
Going round a corner and theres screwdrivers, pens, phones and that wheel lock bolt thing in the ashtray all cluncking about.

But worst of all i hate the oil buzzer sound. Its happened to me a few times now and you never get used to it!

 

I had not one annoying rattle in my 15yr old toyota....until the gf decided to intentionally slam the passenger door for fun (after i complained for her shutting it slightly aggressively)......it now rattles......dumpable offence do you think?

 

squeaky seatbelt mount right next to my ear. everytime i move it squeaks...AAARRRGH

 

When I open the back windows at about 30 mph I get this really deep thumping sound from the wind buffeting about in the back

 

I hate the sound of metal crashing against other metal followed by the sound of glass smashing

 

LOL the spanners bit...Rather embarassingly one of the scrutineers at Mallory fished out a 13mm spanner from behind my headlight at my last race...I wondered where it had gone!
