Out of interest, what made you go for megajolt and not the full megasquirt?

mainly cause originally i was going to use the 16v ignition setup but didn't have any of it to start with so looked at alternatives and came across mega jolt read a fair bit about it and found it cheap in usa (until customs stung me) and thought i would give it a go - also liked the idea of mixing old (carbs) with new megajolt :)

Interested in this - I'm looking at a mappable ignition system for my 16v that looks factory. Came across MegaJolt but it appeared to be a dead project. I need to look into using MegaSquirt as ignition-only control. Not sure which is the best way to go.

I've used megajolt before and its pretty good however the price seems to have gone up significantly since I bought it. You used to be able to get the kit for about 50 its now about Megasquirt money for sparks only.

    Hello All,

Due to the other half moving in and insisting the house is decorated straight away the project has slowed up beyond all belief, this was also contributed to by the fact the car is at the body shop and the cylinder head was at the machine shop.
Anyway the only updates I have is that I now have my cylinder head back from machine shop

So hopefully I can get cracking this year and get the engine built and ready for the return of the car in the next few months
