Yep, I've only ever seen one car with it connected up. Mine takes a couple
of minutes to idle on its own but you can drive off after 30 seconds or so
and it's OK.

 

my brothers girlfriends car had the gap where the choke shoudl be in the dash with no choke in there so god knows if the wire has snapped or something

can someone please tell me where the choke is located on a carb if its manualy adjusted, that way i can look at here car and see if it actually needs a choke cable fitting?

 

I have a univeral choke cable, brand new packaged if you need it PM me...

Well i offered her the choke cable for 30 extra, but she refused. Think i may have overpriced it a tad.

Tim, has your car had an automatic choke fitted? I had a fiesta with a standard weber that had an auto choke.

If its not got an auto choke, its running too rich when warm and wasting fuel.

 

might get one fitted then,
