    Cool thanks :)

The manifold O ring does need doing (but hey my carb wont ice ;)), Is
this much work??? (and how do i get to the bolt on cyl 4???)

Have replaced plugs, dizzy cap/rotor, and spark leads 3000 miles miles ago & timing is spot on, anything else to look for.

There is a weird missfire when the engine is cold. the car runs fine
upto about 3000rpm (a guess as i have big ben but about 30mph in 2nd)
then the engine looses all power, and misfires. Sometimes does it when
hot but switch on an off fixes. Any ideas, I have checked everything it
all appears to be working fine???

Its tricky you need a long thin socket extension to get to it and lots of patience ;)

Very thin socket extension, and some way to hold an allen key bit (the bolts are all hex head)

The gap between the inlet & exhaust is literally 1.5cm wide at the 3rd bolt from the right and its almost impossible to get to with the engine in situ!

The way I did it in the end was to get a small socket the right size to hold an allen key bit & held it in with some bodge tape

Even then its a case of poke about back there until you get lucky and hit the bolt [:s]
