Ive got my car back from dubsport at last ( i havent had it since mid sept)

Ive already got problems. It was fine during the 4hr drive home.

But today i was driveing slowly and there was an odd sound (harsh mechcanical)i stopped the car and there was something pouring out the back of the engine. I checked the oil etc and called dubsport they reckon its something to do with the turbo.

It runs but makes a weird wineing noise.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers.

i live in essex its almost a 4hr drive thats the problem.

I checked the engine oil it was fine.

the only thing i can say is i think it was coming from the back of the engine.

I know f**k all about engines.

Well, I guess the only other fluids it could be would be gearbox oil or PAS fluid.

But, by the sounds of it, your box sounds knacked! [:^(]

Jack the car up, and look for holes around the diff (lowest part of the box where the driveshafts come out).

Sorry to here about it BTW.

Post some pics if you like.

I had a re-con gearbox put it there about 6 months ago...

Sounds like it Could be the oil feed pipe for the turbo has come off.

Dont start the car again until its been looked at as you may cause more damage to it - get it over to dubsport on a trailer or something and get them to pay for it - the work they did should be guaranteed.

I assumed it wouldn't be that as he says his oil level is okay?
    Does sound a possibility tho.

I remember a guy on the uk mkivs forum who had a turbo conversion with this problem, but they caught it before it left the workshop.

    Agreed!

Just get under the car and have a look. Bump it onto a curb if you don't like using a jack.
