ok it is the gearbox, f**ked!

It was a re-con gearbox that i had put in about six months ago for my old engine (2l 8v)

Dubsport thought it would be ok as it was recently re-coned.

I just spoke to them and they said they would put a mk4 box in for 500 but it will cost me about 200 to get it there on a transporter.

The car is a 95' mk3 golf gti 8v (or was!)

    Im live buckhurst hill.

    anyone got any more suggestions?

    thanx.

Jus get a trusted regular garage to fit the gearbox for ya, provided you source one.

get it done properly an 8v box was never going to live with that power for long, you need a g60 box or a 1.8t one, designdubs will sort ya out in a jiffy mate

Just to stop any confusion, this thread was not meant to come across as slating dubsport.

We did talk about a mk4 box but i decided against it at the time - cos i didnt think it would be an issue.
