gvk didnt u have the schrick combo and it not produce what you were expecting?

is it 276inlet and 268 exhaust?

i havent got a clue what to get really. Tho what ever i get i will be gettin Newman cams to make them as i am quite chummy with the owners ;)

Not too sure whther to leave the block of my 9A intact or whether to rebuild it with lightened internals. Whats everyone else done with theirs?

Yip it does seem to be the view of those in the know that it works better on KRs than on 2.0L's

As you can see it's a masasive read on the cams.

I have 268/276 Schricks the results are on GVK's web Tune Up page.
They do work well on my car but essentially you will need a vernier a flowed 50mm inlet manifold a 4 branch zorst mated to a good 2.5 inch zorst such as Remus.

Vince or TSR are pretty experienced in setting this spec engine up now (WUR mod)

Gary's car is an exceptional example as well using the twin zorst cams........perhaps he could overlay his current graphs over mine??

Actually to contradict what I just said, I actually think the 2 zorst cams coupled to either TBs or a piggyback ECU on Garys, could perhaps be capable of even more impressive numbers.

As im sure I read Gary posted it got 189bhp but pinked a bit so was timed back a tad & got 183 or somat. Its all speculation of course but if the engine could actually run that advance you could perhaps be in the 190bhp area even without lairy shricks.

Gagging to know what the flowed head & loosened up engine does to my power, as I had the same bhp on standard KR head & cams, as GVK had on his 9a KR setup before going the flowed head/twin zorst route, so I'll let you know after a stealth visit in a couple of weeks....

Ps Gary did you have a vernier when you ran your shricks?

oh & Ian if its not top secret info- are you running just a normal single vernier or do you also have some kind of tricky additional veriner adjustable chainwheels on your shricks to get the timing of 'em bang on?

    Cheers.

Barny has posted on another thread that a mate has a 6A with a KR flowed head that was backed up with flow bench numbers had his car tuned at Stealth last week and got 193bhp on twin exhaust cams! [:D]

Remember I've still got the small inlet manifold on mine, 'should' see another 5-7bhp with a 50mm !

Yep, we did see 189bhp with 8.5 degrees advance but it was pinking at 5k running optimax and Millers CVL (100 octane)

No verniers on my car with the cams Alex [:$]

Remind me when I see you next, I'm going to GIVE you a 50mm inlet to try - and see as tho it will be on loan, you can't sell it to those pesky canadians like you usually do when you get hold of them ;) [:D]
