I actually do too, but this colour seems to work well as it's pretty light and mild... other thing with solids is that they're far easier and quicker to spray!!!

They are Intra C/RH Classic wheels: 15x7 ET25. I'm from Tasmania - the little island at the bottom of Australia :)

P.S. A quick update...mainly a message actually: spraying metallic paint as a DIY sucks!!!!!!!! It's so hard to blend the coats together and get the metal flake flowing the right way.

Believe it or not, I'm actually finishing off respraying the entire car again at the moment [:^(] There was too much dust in the paint last time and I just wasn't happy.

The next update, as I've hinted, will be the car completely repainted (should be right in 2 weeks).

Sick of working on this car [:x] [8(] [:$] [:^(]

It'll be worth it in the end. Going to be one of the nicest golfs on this forum.

A few things I picked up on holiday in Europe and at the Essen Motorshow [:D]

Some tinted red tail lights, chrome wing bolts, filler cap, bonnet catches. Also went to Stroeve Motorsport in Holland and picked up some beefy 2-piece 280mm rotors, proto. billet bonnet catch, 4.5mm wheel spacers to clear my brakes (now have ET20.5 on the front [:s] ) and a few other carbon and alloy bits and pieces. He makes an ultra bling a polished alloy rear strut brace, which is now on the car too :p

Also nabbed a new window seal kit from Volkswarenhaus at the show.

The entire front of the car is now painted and assembled, but I'm holding off on the pics until I've finished the rest of it... depends how many beers are to be had over christmas and the new year :)

A few more pics of the front end partially assembled. Out of rubbing compound so yet to buff it back, but really happy with the finish off the gun.
