I am liking this thread very much! Motorcycle throttle boddies and pug ecu's!!! Sounds like we might have cheap effective tuning back for dubs and not complete rip offs for simple things for old cars!!!! [:D]

This isn't a new idea, just a good one. Louis has been posting the link to
Chipwizards on here for at least a year now.

Just a thought... exactly HOW mapable are the Pug ECU's?

Do they have 4 fixed zones, 12 movable xones, 4 moveable zones, 30 fixed zones?

    Tell us more!

you can find the ecu on 405`s,306`s,106 rallye`s& citreons, try and find a ecu that is pre-numberpad imobelised although he is on with a solotion for the later ones, the 405 loom is more suited as it is nice and long, just been speaking to him about the mapping,is lift pump failed but was making 230-235 bhp prior to problems, eng was a std 180 with some bigger injectors out of a rover turbo and a intercooler of a vauxhall frontera, best of speaking to wayne for questions on ecu

the car originally started out as a 1.3 and built on a budget  a few mates working on it on evenings &weekends,be nice to see what it makes with a bigger turbo&injtors :p

OK Silly question but I don't know the answer....sooo

Where is the ECU mounted on say a pug 405 ? and would ( if I went to the scrappy etc ) just cut back out as much of the loom as poss ?? And as mentioned earlier about different types, what reg / yer etc should I be looking for ?

Or can an Audi TT loom fit through plugs etc ?

I know silly question but I don't know

Yeah a Citroen BX 16 Valve uses the Pug Mi16 engine and ECU though it's in a higher state of tune in the Citroen.

the mi16 is Mot.ML4.1/3 system, you need the magnet marreli 8P to run throttle bodies, theres plenty about, you will find them on the pugs and citreons with the squareish plastic rocker cover :)
