I can't take credit it for it tho guy off edition called Arun made it it was his first go at doing a 16v one and it's turned out a really neat install. Lot neater using bike rubbers

Oh and yeah all port matched

    How much for that then?
Did you send the carbs in or send measurements?

I will have the 45mm aluminium tube for the runners in a day or so.

I'm planning to cut the aluminium runners at angles so they line up correctly with the ABF chopped down manifold and the flange I've had cut (to bolt the carbs to).

Using cardboard tube I have roughly worked out the angles they need to be cut so that the flanges are approximately 65mm apart.

Could anybody offer any further tips or advice?

    Here's the mock up.

Here are the brass nipples I ordered a while back for the brake servo.
The welding rods will also work with brass/zinc based metals.

    and will all be plumbed together with this lot;
1 90' elbow at gearbox side
    [IMG]

connected to 3 'T'Pieces at each brass nipple shown in the above post
    [IMG]

    with vac hose
    [IMG]

which will fit nice and neatly to the long plastic original hose running alongside the cam belt cover to the brake servo :)

or may even go the other way and hide it within the HT leads and go the dizzy side.

All came today including the ally pipe.
Brake servo setup complete (one of the end 'T-pieces' will be replaced with a 90' connector later)
    Progress update;

Now I'm just measuring up the ally pipe and getting the angles bang on.

    And some more progress...
    Angles are bang on.
I was going to make up a wooden jig with the angles cut down the side. I had loads of pipe so I thought I would wing it and see how it goes.

    Flange with two middle runners..

it's all about the angles and dangles ;) perfect cut

all 4 runners cut and mocked up with both sides of the manifold..

The bottom of the runners need to be flattened yet to make the same oval shape as the original inlets.. this will leave all the injector holes clear (now brake servo take-offs ;))

and a mock up with all the parts together...

Just acquired a new 167 fuel pump relay to run the bike fuel pump correctly.
It's been temporarily [:$] running from the old TTV live from the old pierberg.....

    Anyway, I have the CE1 F'box.

RubJ advised earlier in the build post #121 to pop this relay in socket 12.
But it doesn't fit into socket 12.

It does fit in socket 2 though.
    Possibly a typo..?

    However, there's a no' 1 relay in socket 2.
Which from the fusebox FAQ is a carb inlet manifold heater relay which makes sense as the car used to be a 1.6 4+E.

    Bit stumped.

Any help appreciated whilst I have the fusebox out of the car is very welcome!

Yeah its socket 2 on the CE1 fusebox, needs an earth trigger to pin D/13 to work. fuel pump output pin is E/14

for some reason in post 121 i thought you had a CE2 fusebox

    Alright cool.
So just run the KR ignition loom earth trigger to pin D/13, run a live to the pump from E/14 and pinch an earth from somwhere for the pump negative?

RJ, do you know off hand where the TTV wire originates from? I would like to remove it if it's no longer required.

whilst we're on the fuel pump topic. How much difference would it make if I moved the pump into the boot or to the rear end of the car?
Do bike pumps perform better pulling the fuel from the tank into the engine bay
    OR
pushing the fuel from the tank down to the engine?

    All from ebay.
Silicone vacuum pipe 1m 10mm ID from ultimatecarparts uk
    T-Pieces and 90' connectors from 227sparts uk
Bleed nipples (PEX Pipe Fitting 5 Pcs 20mm Male Threaded Crimp Adapter) from shinykingdom, some China seller.
The nipples had to have their threads grinded off to fit in the ABF injector ports.
