Today was my first day driving my mk3 ABF, and my god , what an amazing machine , I think that this engine is the best naturally aspirated engine humans ever built, I bet that it would kill BMW's 6 cylinder 2.0 , and would easily kill any car with naturally aspirated 2.0 engine.
    Thank you VW!!!

Think you would get more excited driving a MK1 with an ABF in it :)

ABF turbos are even better. Even in a mk3.

I like naturally aspirated engines more than forced induction, and Hondas are ugly and not german :)

It's not letting any extra air into the engine.

Will just make it more free revving. Just a lightened flywheel is suppose to make a big difference, thats the next mod on my list. And not expensive at all.

    Not a lot.

However if you were to lose one of the cams and 8 valves, the parasitic losses would be reduced considerably. [:-B]

    8V FTW!

Yeah, it is good to put those Honda lads in their place.

You do not need a 16v to do this though. My mate with some kind of Mugen kitted B16 Civic was well peeved when my old 1.6 8v was able catch and pass him. :o
His engine bay looked very bling with all sorts of gizmos, he got even more peeved when I opened my bonnet and all that was noticeable was an old Weber 32/36 from a Ford Capri.

There may also have been 1 or 2 mm skimmed off various parts of the engine. ;) And one uprated "lumpy stick" installed. [:D]
