Checked the co% just now, was 'only' on 0.2% [:s]

Adjusted it up to the 2.0% Valvers love and it feels even stronger now [:D]

Sounds good Gary, just in time for the ring as well, nice one. It'll be interesting to see your power figures and graphs, I guess its to early to tell but how do you think it will perform against the R32 in a straight line?

When I fit the head, I'll decide whether it's done well, but it looks excellent! The guy is actually from the UK, but moved to California and works for a race shop there. He even sent the head before I'd paid for it [:D] I'll post his details if it all runs well

With CO @ 2ish% at idle, HC was 160 ppm and lambda 0.948 so it's running fairly efficiently.

Before I richened it up it was showing just 62ppm on the HC's

Matt, It'll probably be the week after that as I want to get the clutch and flywheel fitted before going on the rollers and 'maybe' some cams :)

Pete, no idea really,Claire (who has the R32) drove mine tonight and said "It goes alright"

After blubbering on for the last year or more about the virtues of the split duration Schrick cam set, I've placed an order with Badger-Bill this morning for the 268/276 Schricks Should be here 7-10 days time [:D]

Buying from eBay.de is *slightly* cheaper but it taken me about 3 days of emailing to-fro to get the info :thumbd:

    Cam specs -

    268 Intake (#220.E1.681-01) Lift 11.5mm(.453") Duration: 268

    276 Exhaust (#220.A1.761-02) Lift 11.5mm(.453") Duration 276

Had a word with Vince about the 42mm inlet and he suggests we try it with the cams for a start, he's interested to see if we can keep the already decent mid range that mine has at the moment, he seemed to think that a 50mm will give around 5bhp extra at the top end though.

Did you order a vernier belt pulley too Gary, you really need one to get the figures I have.
Good luck getting the bearing caps over them

That was another thing I asked Vince, He said not to bother with one,I'll trust his judgment for now.

He said some cars/cams benifit from one and there's no definitive answer yes or no. I know you and Ian have one on yours though. [:s]

Yep, I can imagine the bearing caps are a bit of a tw*t to get on with the amount of lift on those cams [xx(]

In theory, your motor should fly straight past 200BHP given what power you already have - it'll be interesting to see!!!
